College LPN

Miami Dade College (MDC)

MDC offers Practical Nursing program at its Medical Center Campus. This program can be completed in a period of three semesters. It includes a Vocational Credit Certificate and is qualified in taking the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN). Its practical nurse classes are available on weekday afternoons and evenings and its clinical sessions are offered on Friday evenings and the entire Saturday. To be admitted to this program, applicants should have a high school diploma or its equivalent, a minimum score of 10 on two of its entrance examinations, and a filled-up application form for MDC.

Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI)

The LPN at CCRI is called Practical Nursing or Level One within its Nursing Department. Students enrolled in this program may have an option to take it in a full-time basis at one of its four campuses or part-time either in Newport or Lincoln. Admission for this program may include transcript of records, filled-up application, a great point average of 2.7 or better in its prerequisite coursework, and passing scores on its entrance examination. The students are then required to complete 63 credits for a Practical Nursing Diploma, 33 credits are appropriated for nursing coursework.

College of Southern Nevada at West Charleston

This state college offers a practical nursing program in 44 credits in certain classes including pharmacology, family nursing, psychology, gerontological health care, and medical terminology. The college LPN program includes laboratories, lectures, and clinicals. Eligible students for this course should be CPR certified, be computer literate, have diplomas or GED, and have received certain immunizations. The successful graduates for this program will then be qualified to take the national practical nursing exam so that they will become licensed nurses.

ECPI College of Technology

ECPI College is among the schools to offer nursing program or college LPN to nurses in the country. This program includes laboratory, lecture, and clinical form. The program helps assist students find and prepare students for their initial jobs associated to nursing. It also allows students to take the national nursing exam for licensing.
